Picture Cards - Have You Got…?
The aim of the game is to collect sets of 4 cards.
Example: Weather Cards. The worksheet should be printed 4 times for each group. The game is prepared by cutting out and colouring the cards. Printing the worksheets on coloured paper stops the image from being visible from the other side. If they are printed onto white paper they can also be stuck to coloured paper too.
In groups children deal all of the cards out. In secret, they choose which set to collect (4 ‘sun’ or ‘cloudy’ or ‘windy’ or ‘hot’ or ‘cold’ or ‘rainy’ cards) based on what cards they were dealt. Each child takes it in turns to ask another player if they have got a specific card. If they haven’t got it, it goes onto the next child. If they have, then that child gets another turn.
For example:
Player 1 asks Player 4 "Have you got SUNNY?"
Player 4 "No, I haven't."
Player 2 asks Player 3 "Have you got CLOUDY?"
Player 3 "Yes, I have"
Player 2 asks player 1 "Have you got CLOUDY?”
Player 1 "No, I haven't."
Player 3 asks player 4 “ Have you got RAINY?”
etc.
The winner is the child who collects the most sets.
