This activity was designed with the Trinity GESE Grade 1 exam in mind.

A fun activity, ideal for practising what an examiner might ask in the exam.

Target language: point, show me, give me, touch, stand up, how many, what is, what are, fish, donkey, lamb, duck, goose, goat, rabbit, mice, hen, dog, chicks, birds, horse, cow, sheep, cat.

In pairs, children cut out both the animal cards and the action cards. They turn the action cards face down on the desk and leave the animal cards facing up. Then they take it in turns to pick up a random action card. One child chooses an animal card and asks the question on the action card and the other child answers. They repeat and swap roles.
