This pair work game helps children practise the future form “going to” while developing their speaking and listening skills.

The worksheet is cut down the middle so that each student has a different half. Both students have a table with some information completed, but other details are missing. By asking and answering questions such as “Is Luca going to play football after school?” students work together to complete their tables.

This information gap activity encourages communication and careful listening while reinforcing the structure going to + verb for talking about future plans. It works well as a speaking practice activity or a lively classroom pair task.
