This Pancake Day bingo game is a lively whole-class activity that helps children practise key food and kitchen vocabulary in a fun, interactive way. The game includes three rounds with three different bingo cards featuring pictures such as pancakes, a frying pan, spoon, bowl, flour, eggs, milk and a lemon.

To play, children colour each picture on their card red, yellow, green or blue. The teacher then calls out a picture and a colour (for example, “green frying pan”) and learners mark it on their card if they have it. The first player to complete a line shouts “Bingo!” and wins the round.

This activity supports listening skills, vocabulary recognition and colour words while keeping energy high and engagement strong. It is ideal for seasonal February lessons, classroom parties, or as a playful review game during Pancake Day topics.
