English Craft Activity

Printable PDF worksheet

This Pancake Day craft is a playful and interactive activity that gives children the feeling that their own pancakes are being eaten. The pack includes two designs, one of a boy and one of a girl in side view. Children cut out the small square above the fork, then draw and cut out different pancake designs on the side of the paper. They slide the strip through the cut-out hole so the pancakes appear on the fork as if the child is eating them.

The activity encourages creativity, fine motor skills and food vocabulary as children design their pancakes and talk about their choices. It works well as an independent craft task, a pair activity, or a fun follow-up to a Pancake Day cooking or vocabulary lesson.

This worksheet is ideal for seasonal February lessons and offers a light-hearted way to combine art, language and cultural learning about Pancake Day.
