The “Floor is Lava”, back to school edition is a fun and interactive way to review school related vocabulary. Children imagine the floor is lava and can only “step” on safe stones, the ones with school words.

Starting on one side of the page, they colour a path across the stepping stones, saying each word aloud as they go. This activity is perfect for energising the classroom, reinforcing vocabulary and bringing a playful twist to learning. It can be used individually, in pairs, or as a class challenge and works well as a warm-up, brain break, or vocabulary review. All you need is the printable worksheet and some pencils or crayons to get started.
