English Speaking Game

Printable PDF worksheet

This Easter classroom game helps children practise recognising and using Easter vocabulary while playing a fun version of the classic Battleships game.

Children work in pairs and secretly draw five boats on the grid. Each boat occupies one square. Sitting opposite each other, students take turns calling out the coordinates to guess where their partner’s boats are hidden.

The grid includes Easter-themed vocabulary such as Easter egg, bunny, chick, daffodil, basket, chocolate and lamb, along with colour words like red, yellow, orange, green and blue. As learners play, they practise reading coordinates, recognising vocabulary and speaking with their partner.

The first student to find all five boats wins the game.
