A fun and engaging classroom game, ideal for children learning English.
Target language: playing video games, skateboarding, cooking, camping, cycling, horse riding, say, draw, spell, sing, backwards
Instructions: in small groups the children take it in turns to roll the dice. After rolling the first dice the child moves their counters forward the number of spaces shown on the dice, this number also indicates the action. Then the child roles the second dice, which indicates the key word.
For example, if they roll a 2 and after a 6, they first move forward 2 places on the board and then they must spell ‘C-A-M-P-I-N-G’.If they roll a 6 and after a 2, they first move forward 6 places on the board and then they must say cooking 10 times ‘COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING, COOKING’ and so on.
You will need: one worksheet per pair or small group and two dice.
