A fun and engaging classroom game, ideal for teaching kindergarten children animal vocabulary.

Target language: dog, cat, rabbit, fish.

Instructions: in pairs, children put their cards together, shuffle and deal them out face down. Without looking at the cards, at the same time they each flip over a card. If the cards are different they continue to flip over cards, but when the cards are the same, the first child to shout the word in English and place their hand on the cards, wins all the cards which have been flipped over. They continue the game until one child wins all the cards.

You will need: one worksheet per child, scissors.
