A fun and engaging classroom game, ideal for children learning English.

Target language: car, bus, plane, bike, boat, train, say, spell, sing, spell it backwards, draw it

Instructions: in pairs or small groups the children take it in turns to roll the dice. After rolling the first dice the child moves their counters forward the number of spaces shown on the dice and lands on a transport word. Then the child roles the second dice, which indicates the task. For example, if they roll a 2 and after a 4, they first move forward 2 places on the board, to ‘boat’ and then spell it backwards T-A-O-B and so on.

You will need: one worksheet per pair or small group and two dice.
