A fun and engaging classroom game, ideal for teaching children weather vocabulary.
Target language: sunny, windy, rainy, cloudy, hot, cold. Have you got…? Yes I have. No I haven’t
Instructions: ask the children to cut out the cards. In groups of 4, children put their cards together, shuffle and deal them out. They then take it in turns to ask the other players in the group if they have a card they need. The aim of the game is to collect a set. The player to collect the most sets is the winner.
For example: Child 1 ‘Have you got SUNNY?’
Child 2 ‘No, I haven’t.’Child 2 ‘Have you got CLOUDY?’
Child 3 ‘Yes, I have’
Child 3 ‘Have you got WINDY?’etc
You will need: one worksheet per child and scissors.
