Instructions: the first dictation is done by the teacher to the whole class. They listen and draw what they hear.
For example: there is a big head in A2. There are two eyes in A1. Inside the head in A2 there is a small nose and a big mouth. There is a long body in B2 and B3. There are four legs and four feet in B3 and three legs and three feet in C3. There is one arm and one hand in B1.
Next, in secret each child draws their own design in the second grid. Once they are are ready, keeping their worksheets hidden, they describe their designs to their partner and in the third grid draw what they hear their partner describing. When they have finished they can compare their worksheets to see if their drawings are the same.
You will need: one worksheet per child.
